I need an entry level luxury car that fits the following criteria:

Good on gas as will get high mileage.
Good in weather

Last car for this route was bought in 2008, and has 200k on it now.  Nissan Altima.  Now want to up the game a  bit.

Audi TDI?  Any suggestions from the car guys?

No expert on that topic , but I can give you my 2 cents.

I got this 2006 Crossfire with only 20,000 miles for 14k.
Has a Mercedes engine and trans, so it drives like a champ for a lot less $$.

Its also a car aimed at 40 year old housewives with husbands that make slightly under 100k a year so therefore not enough to get the benz but enough to get something decent. When they sell them on buyers such as yourself, a mid life crisied man with a flagging testosterone level who will buy it if it looks fast but actually isnt. Another vehicle in this category is the convertible ford mustangs from the early 00s. Generally only brought out on the weekends with the top down and accompanied by too loud music from the 80s and aviator sunglasses whilst pulling into the grocery store parking lot or gas station.

Not a great repair/service history.  ANYTHING done on it will be $$$$ no matter how minor.

I'm a big fan of Toyota and Honda, but am really digging the Suburu Outback (although haven't driven yet).  Everyone I've spoke with who owns one LOVES them and they're great in all weather.

Outdated Mercedes-Benz tech that they stuck in a Chrysler. Few were fooled which is why sales were terrible
