What exactly does a "moderator' do?

And how many moderators are there on this GetBig Board?

And do the moderators  have ranks similar to the military? (Is one mod more important than another?)

And do the moderators receive a monthly salary or complimentary contest tickets for their worthwhile efforts?

What is the due process to become a moderator?

What moderator has served as a GetBig moderator over the longest period of time?

Do moderators ever get together like in a Moderator Convention  or just a simple meeting or a coffee clutch?

Can a single moderator ban a GetBigger for life or just a couple of weeks?

who fires moderators if it becomes a necessity?

Actually this is the first time I've ever thought of moderator responsibilities  and it may be interesting to read some of the answers.
