Working out with a hoodie
« on: June 02, 2015, 08:46:48 PM »
They're  always a few kids (and girls) wearing a hoodie at the gym while working out, some even sleeveless with a gallon of Crystal light and filming their workout to post it on Facebook ...

Who here does it ?

Does it make you more "badass" or your workout more relevant ?

I'm not buying this shit of having a hoodie on your head while doing cardio or when it's hot outside. I even feel sorry for the hoodie turd culture who absolutely insist on wearing a hoodie in plus or minus 30 degree weather (sleeves pushed up of course to add extra douche bagegness...)

And makes a person bad ass? LOL!!! They wear them as the upper back/traps look bigger. Not fooling this guy as everyone is "pretend big" now almost...

As someone said here... "everyone is in supposed beast mode, yet nobody looks like they even lift"

Welcome to generation fail...

It depends on my mood. Sometimes I wear a hoodie to work up a sweat/keep warm and it can act as a motivation for a heavy set. But this is only in the winter, it would have to be a cold summer day to do this, to many do it as an homage to Kai (they complete the look with a red muscle meds hoodie).

I'm tired of all the filming of nothing I've been seeing. I'm going to film a couple videos of others filming their workouts and post them soon.

If I start filming people, I will never be able to focus on my training again, it would be too much fun. My buddy once took a pic of this classic douchebag guy and felt like i was in high school again. Fun stuff!!!

When you e been a gym for a few decades...you tend to noticed a few things.  In a 60 minutes workout, you probably have 30 minutes of idol time.  It's good to be aware of others in life.  Why would I care, because I care about lifting in general.  The current majority of tools who train are a disgrace to lifting.  Attention whoring on Instagram, drug reliant, iPhone fingering, multiple training partners, pussy footing their routines...half reppers...and so on.  It's the majority...that's the problem.  One delusional bunch.
Very little heart in today's gyms.
Being secure and aware have nothing to do with each other.  You know how many jokers I've seen in my gym go from a piss poor physique, after training for a few years, to bloated wannabes?  Most can't do jack without drugs, but at least train hard if you take them.  It's become the biggest beta bitch activity one can partake in these days.  Drug assisted pussy liftin.  Usually, juice is the consolation prize for when you fail.  I've seen it at least a half dozen times.

A hoodie is impracticable if you are doing chest, or back, or shoulders, or legs. It affects range of motion for all four.

The hoodie in the gym is the calling card of a complete tosser.

I would also add stupidly big headphones. In ear buds are clearly the best option for training, yet generation fail has these stupid hebrew creations on their head, thinking they are "badass". I would love to drop a 50Kg dumbell on their head from a significant height.

In winter I'll keep a hoodie on during warmup, after that it's tshirt/wifebeater.

The most ridiculous thing is kids wearing hoodies, hood pulled tight around their head as if they're in a fucking blizzard, only to be walking around in shorts that barely make it to above the knee.

I wear a hoodie when training in the basement during the winter.

Nobody has ever given me shit about it, but once the cat looked at me slightly crooked when he walked by.

But that fucker knew better than to try and say somethin'.

Probably 90% t-shirts, 5% regular sweat shirts, 5% sleeveless shirts (mostly because I have a few handy that never wore out) is the break down of my top selection. I could never use a hoody, the drawstrings and hood get caught on things, etc.... way too much.

I never train with headphones on, ever. Even ear buds. It has to do with the fact that I hate the feeling on/in my ears. Ive never been a headset kind of guy.

I would prefer not to, but the shit that passes for music in the gym means that it is just not possible.

Hot as fuck, but if you don't like people talking to you during your workout, it definitely sends a "leave me alone" message loud and clear.

QFT.

I train with an old tank top (probably 10 years old) Wish I could workout 10 am and barefooted like Arnlod in the 70's "no beats by Dre" and no social media BS. just plain old school basic lifting .

The whole "Hooties bad ass,iPhone etc crap" is a joke not needed in the weight room.

Ear buds, cap worn low screams the message as well. No hoodie needed.
