They lured it off the Preserve.  

I think hunting for sport should go like this:

If you want to hunt for "sport" you must register your name and address and you sign a waiver that you can be killed at anytime by anyone, anywhere.  That way it truly becomes a sport as all the parties are fair game.  That would also let them experience a bit more of "the hunt".  

Or

Hunters must be required to wear a costume in same form as the animal they are hunting and they are at risk of being killed by other hunters as a result.
