He was pitching well since the knee brace.

I'm thinking something happened.  Doesn't make sense to start this right now.

He was pitching well, so now Nova has to move to the rotation.  Or Warren, which weakens the pen.

Not really worrying - playoffs won't be "real" to me until after the one game playoff.

horrible, lack luster ,no energy,,typical peaking at wrong months for them ,better team for future,,,main thing cashman dropped the ball getting a frontline starter in july,,banking on pineda and tanaka both of whom could be out for a season there next start...and you know 40 million for headley who plays a wicked 3rd base but hits 262/11/62 cmon that's crazy,,,

You always have a good read on this.

It's hard to think much will be different next year, as they have ARod / CC / Tieriexa / Beltran back....but after those guys go, and 90 million with them....could be fun....

I think Price will be a Cub next year, not sure about Greinke........

Always knew the Yankees would pay the price for the $ spent in 09, but it sucks to actually wade through it.

I would think Tiexiera / ARod replicating this year's production to be unlikely.

Price is zero and everything in the post season.
Lots of injuries in the game.

Price was definitely off today. Texas pitcher did a great job off keeping the Jays hitters off balance just long enough for them to take advantage of Price.

Looking forward to seeing Stroman pitch tomorow

Profar who? That kid Odor for the Rangers is gonna be a star.

Only 21 years old and already a clutch player.

Kind of funny how Texas was not even mentioned as a contender late in the year, and here they are with a shot at the ALCS.

One of the more memorable comebacks I can remember. From down 8 games to Houston in early August all the way to division champs.

after the trade deadline they were fantastic. Everybody was saying the Jays won the season series but forget that they(Texas) werent great the first half and were outstanding the second half. I was nervous right away when i heard the Jays had to play them. PLUS they way the Jays ended the season that didnt look good

The trade for Hammels, a few excellent pick ups to change the bullpen from awful to really good plus Shin Soo Choo getting red hot from out of nowhere were the 3 main keys for the turn around IMO.

Still don't think they have the starting pitching to take it all the way though.

See first post in this thread ...
Blue Jays 8 games behind the Yankees (in the loss column) on July 30
Toronto goes on to clinch the East with 5 games to play
That ain't a bad comeback itself.

Watch out for the AL West next year!
Astros will only get better ... Rangers get Yu Darvish back ... and Angels & Mariners can't be counted out.
