Can't see how a hack squat could be considered essential.  Plenty of other ways to hit that muscle group.  Seems more like a niche piece of equipment.

A niche piece of equipment that is the size of a VW Microbus.

Lying leg curl machine ( which i do at Home ). OK Hammies can be trained with other exercises but i like them better than sitting. Also donīt have the standing variation. Did these many moons ago with Iron Boots.

No incline bench??? Why do you guys suscribe there, lol?
Guess you can bring an adjustable bench to the squat rack but then the rack is being used for others who wanna squat.

This thread is making me like my gym more and more...

just another tool to hit the muscles from another angle, just a variation of the same theme which is what all exercises and machines are..

Dedicated T-Bar spot. Idiots in my gym keep breaking mirrors by having the other end not locked in place.

Good one.. considering you can buy a relatively cheap bar holder

If mirrors kept getting broken, then your gym owner is kinda dumb to simply not get the little socket you stick the bar in for a designated rowing area. Also, when you get passed x amount of weights, the bar does not stay in place...

I always position it under one side of a squat rack. But I agree a cheap holder would be a wise investment. It is quite amusing to see someone sack themselves when the bar juts up.

I've been out of training for-f**king-ever given my diverticulitis (and complications therefrom), but when I DO get back to it, I lament the fact that both of the best-equipped branches of my local Y lack an old-school pec deck.  A plate-loaded one would be particularly nice.

Said branches have a decent variety of HS stuff, including the Iso-Incline, the DY Row and the Iso-Wide Chest (among others), but I wish they had more G1 Nautilus stuff, particularly for the biceps and triceps.  The Multi-Biceps machine is pretty good, but the Multi-Triceps and its karate-chop shit ... meh.  I worked my ass off on that thing as a 15 and 16-year-old and, even when I was stacking the thing in good form, my triceps lagged.  Arthur Jones was a genius beyond that which most people can even begin to comprehend; however, he was definitely NOT God.

Hope you can make enough of a recovery that you can train again, man. Sucks to be forced out of the gym.

Many thanks, my good man.

I am in fact ready to go again, but most decent gyms in my neighborhood are still too expensive for my tastes.  If only I could borrow some of those fistfuls of Pounds from Uncle Jr.! :D
