While some bald..its amazing that top bodybuilders have suprisingly full heads of hair compared with the general population. I remember one Olympia when ronnie Coleman grew his hair out and had the hairline if a 14 year old...so did Jay Cutler, King kamali...Lee Labrada...in 30's and 40's...
Testosterone does not cause hair loss, but research has shown the Testosterone to estrogen ratio COMBINED with dht causes it...actually high testosterone and low estrogen protect against hair loss..dht exerts its effects more profoundly as testosterone decreases and estrogen increases..this makes sense why generally hair loss occurs with advanced age...the highest years of testosterone for men generally see no hair loss....Studies have shown young men who bald have bad Test to Estrogen ratios....While there are bald bodybuilders..it is genetic...its shocking just how many bodybuilders have big thick heads of hair compared with the general population of non hormone manipulating men
Most lose their hair when they STOP using ala Dorian.......During his prime his hairline was that of a college kid and he was in his mid 30's...same with Arnold....Both certainly had the gene for baldness as their thinning now but it only expressed itself AFTER stopping heavy test...probably stopped anti estrogens too.
