Was in Minamino, they came out around 88 and had all the Brit champs from that year on board including Dorian I think.
A guy called Dave Young was part of the setting up of the company.

If not Minamino then may have been Davina

Me to, at the British Grand Prix in 91 after the Olympia, his music stopped half way through, he got the biggest ovation by a mile at that show, pushed Dorian hard.

Yes, I would have been at that one.  Someone on here was recounting the story of Samir punching John Martin, but wasn't there a similar incident with Vince?  Maybe not so physical, but a confrontation of some sorts?  I remember how disappointed I was when he said he would never do the Grand Prix again (at least while Dorian was there) as he felt the judges would automatically vote for the Brit on home turf  :'(

Great proportions - he even got away with that Hair Metal hairdo at one point.  Does anyone remember that time Rory supposedly got 'Cat Scratch  Fever' which caused him to miss an important show?  Im wondering if that was true, or a cover story for some sort of protocol mishap?

Think it might have been called Tropicana,i remember the ads in bodybuilding monthly.Billy was also a brilliant poser and when he qualified for the brits in 1990 he would have pissed the heavies that year,thats when Mick Theo won,but Billy beat him in the qualifier in notts at start of the year.He`s the freakiest i`ve ever seen up close,even more so that Dorian,he came to the club i used to work at and he looked comical in clothes,thats how big he was.

Only about 5`8",and when i met him he said he weighed 19 stone with abs,so i said no way can you have abs at that weight,so he lifted up his shirt and he was in pretty good condition.The only weakness he had was lacking a bit in back width and not coming in shredded,but he had absolutely everything else.

He liked partying, used to see him at dance nights in Bowlers in Trafford Park, all glow painted up in a pair of cut off denim shorts.

I am pretty certain he got hooked on nubain the same as a few guys back in those days.

I saw Vince Taylor guest pose when he was still an amateur living in Germany. Probably in 1988 at Bertil Fox's seminar in Manchester.

I can still remember the shape of his calves.
