Was spinning Overkill's "Horrorscope" today. Wondering who else is big on the metal shit. I love me some older '80s thrash metal and stuff like early Morbid Angel, etc.
MAJOR metal fan here. I've been hooked on metal since I was 11 years old (am 38 now). I'm not talking about just the Big 4. I'm talking metal across the board. Btw, Overkill, Exodus, Testament, Dark Angel and Kreator are all more deserving of being in the top over a band like Anthrax or Metallica (last metal album they released was And Justice For All... They died in 1993 live wise and were barely tolerable until 2000 and painful to listen to since).
My top 60 metal bands:
Black Sabbath (Ozzy, Dio and Ian Gillan albums)
Judas Priest
Iron Maiden (1978-2003...they have become an overblown bloated carcass since 2006)
Metallica (1981-1993 and tolerable live until 2000)
Slayer (always consistent)
Crowbar
Temple of the Dog
Danzig
Tool
Soulfly
Iced Earth
Ghost
Pantera
Alice in Chains
Korn (nu-metal done right)
Dream Theater
Dark Angel
Silverchair
