"It's relatively well known that black families on average live in poorer neighborhoods, but a lot of people presume that's simply because black families are poorer," said Sean Reardon, one of the study's authors. "But if that were all there was to it, you would find poor whites living in the same kinds of neighborhoods as poor blacks."


Blacks, even when making average incomes or above average still CHOOSE to live in shit hole areas.  They simply do not care or value living nicely.  Its bizarre.  

Poor whites live in double wides and stuff. That's not a slight to them. That's just where poorer white families live.

So they are more into being left alone in the middle of nowhere than in neighborhoods.

Black families ARE poorer on average....and many blacks who are well off choose to stay in their neighborhoods to be close to family or because their jobs are in the very neighborhoods they live in......it might be a bad neighborhood, but its STILL home......your insinuation is that blacks just love to live in poor neighborhoods because they don't value living nicely...how utterly false.....but you will never admit that your thinking is limited and just plain WRONG

Why did you post that one excerpt from that study, but ignore everything else? The point of that study is the gap in upward mobility hurdles experienced by different demographics. If you come from a poorer background you actually NEED more money to live in a nicer neighborhood than someone with a more affluent background who makes the same.
