I think I'm going to drop weight, work on endurance more, and embrace the whole lifting for heath thing.

I'm at one of those crossroads where even though it still appeals to me, the whole chasing numbers, and eating for it, etc.... just isn't that appetizing anymore. Also the past few years, I've watched a lot of the guys I admired as a kid have health problems minor and major as they get into their late 40's - 50's, and that's weighed on my mind.

Training wise - moderate set(8-12), moderate rep(8-10), faster tempo, moderate intensity (70 - 80% most days). Cardio - boring steady state stuff, a few days a week, 30 - 40 minutes.

Eat better, train consistently, and lose about 40 pounds (go down to 200)

I've lost more weight then that before, so I know I can do it. I think I overdid it before. I went from about 245 to 175, but I think I lost too much muscle, due to mostly aerobic exercises, and cutting too much calories.

Some people thought I was sick. I felt great, but talk about a buzzkill.

I`ve made a great comeback after taking 15 months completely off and eating a ton of shit for that same length of time.

Lost at least 5 inches on my waist without gaining or losing a pound.

Now it`s time to get my eating in perfect order as I have been doing OK,but know that if my diet was on point,I`d look a zillion times better.

DIET= 75% of bodybuilding!!!   :(

And take your time, so cut those carbs SLOWLY, week by week, depending on your progress. A good article for everyone with cutting plans, http://www.simplyshredded.com/layne-norton-the-most-effective-cutting-diet.html

I think I've finally found a diet that can keep you lean year 'round without making you miserable.

Carbs 3 on, 4 off. The on days in the 150-200 gram range; the off, carbs only from veggies. It averages out to about 100 grams a day.

It's basically carb cycling done in a way where you don't go too long without having some fun food.

That`ll work great!!

Also,if you feel that is too restricting or Spartanlike,I find that if I`m eating clean on M.,T.,Th.F.,I can have a cheat meal on Wednesday,and an all out cheat day on one of the weekend days and still stay ripped/lean.

On the other weekend day,I would eat clean once again.

He's still working on me to go. If I can get over my craven fear of my achilles going again, I may.
