rick';s biggest mistake on the show is not growing a bigger personal army. Yes, his team of a dozen hacks is clever and all... but the man with 200 organized men is effectively a warlord in WD times. Negan's 50 should be able to wipre out rick's 10 in one show.
WD has so many flaws these days, it's not a big deal to miss an episode. But it's still a solid watch.
