A given, no... My god, the guy was using recreational drugs for what sounds like quite some time. That will catch up with you in a hurry. Genetics play a factor as well, African Americans have a higher risk for heart and kidney disease anyway. Cocaine and crack cocaine are absolutely horrible for the heart, and entire body.

Well, I just got an EKG done and all was good. Been on test for years now without a break, done shit loads of coke back in the day as well.
But I do eat rather clean, not sure about Randleman on that one.

Either way, had a hell of a shape.

as someone who has watched mma since 93

kevin is considered by most hardcore fans as one of the fighters that never lived up to his potential. he had great wrestling ability but he never could put it together.

it is debatable he got robbed against rutten, he put a wrestling clinic on pedro rizzo . was never the same after he lost to chuck liddell. but at times

shown signs of brilliance like in his fight with crocop, after his loss to fedor it was all downhill. i think that staph infection pretty much ended him

as a fighter as well.

Hung out with Kevin twice and he was a funny guy and loved to have a good time. One time in particular involved a strip club and a total bar room brawl out of a movie... Will type later if anyone wants to hear it, but mainly wanted to say RIP, he was a proto-type for a "getbigger," and a great guy; he will be missed :-(

Randleman was the UFC Heavyweight Champion.

He lived up to his potential.

Well at his time Pride HW and LWH(mw) belts were "The" belts to hold.

He rekted Mirko who everyone was fearing those days, but losing to Nakamura and getting subbed by Waterman were horrible losses.. it's like Jon Jones losing to Tom lawlor and Gian Villante

yes he won but the UFC wasn't near the level as Pride.

Pride FC was the place to be, he relied too much on power and strength. If he would've learned more BJJ and footwork he would've avoided those horrible losses. I mean he got subbed by Mirko?? WTF?!!

Too many lost fights, but despite him testing positive (pride never had any aas tests if I'm correct, so lots of usage) remarkable fighter. Sad he destroyed himself

i liked pride much more but nobody can convince me that fight wasn't suspicious

mirko/fedor was easily the most hyped fight in pride history, mirko should've easily beat randleman but it was best for business to make sure he didn't lose to him again

Pride later admitted that some fights were fixed. One of the top execs committed suicide. I don't know if that fight was fixed but it did seem suspicious.
