Edmunds lists 62k as average price.

OTD price?

Are those CVT type autos?  I can't picture any slushbox with a viscous coupling responding like something with meshed gear teeth.

Seems like CVT is the future. Fewer moving parts. A regular mechanic might be able to repair one of these without having to send it to a "Specialist."

Dr nothing is like Mustang. Especially sweet when you have a family history of muscle cars!  My first was a Nova SS but never raced my mom lol.  She had move on to Subaru's by then. :)

My first car was a '68 Mustang, bought it for 2k which was a lot of money to me at the time. I dig old school '50s pick ups as well.

not to hijack Dr.J's thread, but they are putting that motor into the grand Cherokee.  it will be the fastest production quarter miler on the road imho

Due to awd it will be quick off the line. It will also be 800-1000lbs heavier than the challenger and charger

???  Who would put that on performance car?  How much of that 700hp is on the prop when the light goes green?

I don't understand why CVTs haven't replaced stepped boxes.  There's probably a good reason, I just don't know what it is.

Cvt's are low torque capacity

This is it, even the color. It was automatic but, if I remember correctly, it had manual steering. I do remember that it handled very well.

Note the slots in the hood. There are light bulbs in there which are wired to the blinkers, a nice little touch.

I'm aware.

Yup....I did not see the sense in it.  I did however get the track package.

The R deletes the rear seat, air conditioner, electronics and radio.  I happen to like all that stuff.  It comes with the cool ass carbon fiber wheels that have the better track tires and they are size bigger (305 in the front and 315 in the rears).

Carbon fiber wheels are not well suited for everyday driving on the streets.   And the bigger and better tires can always be  easily mounted on the current rims if I really feel the need.

A few other little things, but in reality, the track package upgrade was the way to go for me.

Agreed, especially A/C, which is a must have.

that's like the ACR package for the Viper GTS.  eliminates the same things.  American Club Racer is what I think it stands for.

Hahahhaha, I was half joking.  I did not realize they did a remake in 2008 using a Cobra.  WTF?

Anyone see this?

Def have to do some recording if you take it to the track. Would be totally cool to see that beast opened up!

Yup, I'm gonna take to Irwindale Speedway to do the 1/8.  But, this car place to shine is the racetrack!

No it's an option.  You get the Ricaro seats, oil cooler, transmission cooler, axel oil cooler, suspension, strutbar and wing in the back....

$6,500.00 upgrade.  But I did read somewhere that the 2017 may come standard with the track pac.
