I think humanity as a whole is largely doomed, or at least due for a massive extinction level event.  Our planet has finite resources and the human population is expanding at a terrific rate, something's gotta give sooner or later.  The drought/water issues in California this past year are just the beginning.

As for the decline of Western civilization in particular, I'd agree with you if there were some clear replacement.  Who will step in and take our place?  China? Russia?  Isis?  None of these countries are in any position to replace the US as the eminent superpower of the world

I think something big is going to happen soon to shake things up. And you're right, there is no clear replacement.  We're becoming globalized with Obama and Pope as the heads and corporations and bankers backing it. They're transnationalist. They have no permanent home.

hmm try looking into high tech industry in places like say Germany, or the plethora of state funded universities in the silicon valley region. It's almost impossible to find a big high tech company that didn't take government aid, grants, etc.  Let me know if you find one. The way these industrial systems work is the same everywhere. ie. they are heavily tied to the state.

You keep repeating the narrative that want to believe is true. I made my point. The European Union has a population larger than that of the U.S, yet has not a single tech company that ranks in the top ten in the world from a market cap standpoint. The reason is the anti entrepreneurial mentality.

The only important color in today's society is green. There's no useful difference between poor people, regardless of race. People who know this either feel empowered or fearful.

There's so much racism now because people know they're fucked. Truth is: It's only going to get worse and more dangerous.

We (Americans) are indoctrinated to believe there are a fixed amount of rights.
