I'm sure it did.  I'm in the farming industry and central american people are the main labor source in farming.  We're running farms out of this country anyways.  If government keeps piling regulations and costs to our industry, we'll be reliant on mexico for most of our fruits and vegetables in the future.

They've never tried to protect the fruit and vegetable industry. Only the commodity crops like corn and wheat.  Farmers don't want a handout, they just want the government to stop over-regulating them and stop having Mexico dump product on our markets.  This year the FDA came out to our facility and did a test for salomnella on cucumbers.  They didn't get the results back to us for 12 days.  The entire lot they sampled spoiled and it was over 100k worth of product.  You can get results back in under 3 days but not with the government handling it.

I am in no way a Trump voter and I think Mexicans give a lot to our culture and economy. HOWEVER, Mexico needs to do a lot of soul searching. Last time I was in Mexico, I saw the following poll results published in the Mexico City newspaper:

Even if illegal in USA, would you rather live in Mexico or USA?

Those statistics are shocking. Can you imagine a third of Americans saying they want to go off and live in Mexico? The Mexican elite need to look in the mirror! We complain about inequality here in US. The inequality south of the border makes us look like angels.
