Black cop shoots an armed black man resisting police orders

if he had a gun in his hands, charging cops, it's a pretty clean shoot.  witnesses saying otherwise, but their video should clear them easily.  pics show a gun lying on the ground.  They should just release frames from the video if they don't want to show the dude getting blasted.  If there are 2 seconds of video with him stepping out of car and raising a weapon, it's pretty cut and dry.  they don't have to show bullets hitting, blur that out or whatever.

we've seen police release video very quickly when needed.  sitting on this one - while letting people get this rowdy - I'd be very pissed if I owned a car or business getting trashed because they're stirring the pot and letting it overflow.

Can someone help me.... my IQ must be too high to understand??????

Black cop shoots an armed black man resisting police orders, which begets looting and rioting where a black man shoots and kills another black man, and I see a black protestor screaming about "whitey" on TV while breaking laws. And then the black victim's family member calls all whites the devil.

You're looking at the situation from a standpoint of logic and reasoning. Your approach forces people to face the harsh reality that a large segment of African American society in America is FUBAR, and that it's not the cops, but the people they're trying to police.

It's too big of a problem to deal with.

NC Law that just passed states that they have no obligation to show anyone.

Police want the unrest.  Obama for years has been trying to limit police power.  Anytime you see cops, they have tanks and more arms than the military and to maintain that power they want the unrest to justify needing all of that shit.

that's a great point.  I remember in baltimore, the cops were a block away, and let the crowd trash a CVS store... justifies their request for more money and power.

People complain about a militarized police force when it's didndus doing a chimp out in the streets but when it's a Muslim terrorist it's like "good thing we had a militarized police force."

Tulsa police officer charged with first-degree manslaughter in man's death

ULSA, Okla. — Prosecutors filed first-degree manslaughter charges against a white Oklahoma police officer Thursday, less than a week after she fatally shot an unarmed black man on a city street and just days after police released videos of the shooting, saying in court documents that the officer "reacted unreasonably."
Tulsa County District Attorney Steve Kunzweiler charged Tulsa officer Betty Shelby in the Sept. 16 shooting death of 40-year-old Terence Crutcher. Kunzweiler said arrangements were being made for Shelby's surrender.

"I do not know why things happen in this world the way they do," Kunzweiler said, adding that he determined first-degree manslaughter the appropriate charge. "We need to pray for wisdom and guidance."

Dashcam and aerial footage of the shooting and its aftermath showed Crutcher walking away from Shelby with his arms in the air. The footage does not offer a clear view of when Shelby fired the single shot that killed Crutcher. Her attorney has said Crutcher was not following police commands and that Shelby opened fire when the man began to reach into his SUV window.

But Crutcher's family immediately discounted that claim, saying the father of four posed no threat to the officers. They also pointed to an enlarged photo from Getbig analysis of police footage that appears to show Crutcher's window was rolled up. And police said Crutcher did not have gun on him or in his vehicle.

Another day in the Obama administration another riot another set of false circumstances.

Oh, look.  The police body cameras didn't show a weapon on the dude in Charlotte they blasted.

I guess this explains why they let the riots go and haven't released the video?  ;)  Three angles on the shooting, none of the videos show a gun.

Chief Putney said Thursday that footage from the Scott shooting does not show "absolute, definitive visual evidence that could confirm that a person is pointing a gun. I didn’t see that in the videos I saw." Still, Putney told the news conference that he'll only show the footage to the victim's family, not the public.

The Charlotte police agency requires officers to wear body cams. At least three officers on the scene were wearing body cams.

He was turing his life around and was a good man. ::)
Crutcher received suspended sentences after entering a no-contest plea to charges of carrying a weapon and resisting an officer, court records show. Oklahoma prison officials confirmed Crutcher also served four years in prison from 2007 to 2011 on a Tulsa County drug-trafficking conviction.

Court records show officers used force against Crutcher on at least four separate occasions, including a 2012 arrest on public intoxication and obstruction complaints. In that case, an officer used a stun gun on Crutcher twice while he was face down on the ground because the officer said Crutcher didn't comply with at least three orders to show his hands, a police affidavit states. Crutcher's father showed up while he was being arrested and told the officers that his son had "an ongoing problem" with the drug PCP, the affidavit states.

hubby in chopper was egging them on.  "oh, he's a big guy, they may need the tazer for him!"

she TURNED OFF her car camera.   Big shit for that.  All of the other cops had their dashboard cameras on, fortunately.

Charging her with manslaughter, a charge juries like, means she may get time.  She turned off camera, she was the only one with gun out, he wasn't coming at them, she immediately went for PCP defense... and are the cops still unwilling to admit WHERE in the car they found the PCP?

Any cop shay enough to turn off her camera and lie about a shoot, is more than shady enough to "find" some php on the shooting victim.

and none of them matters.    Cause he didn't pose a clear threat to them and he was unarmed.  They had him majorly outnumbered and there was NO need for deadly force.

That's why they charged her ass... he had no weapon, he was what, 20 feet away?   He wasn't aggressive, and his window was up? (blood smeared all over it when he was shot).

YOU DO NOT NEED TO SHOOT A PERSON in that situation.  No need.  Especially because he was non-violent and they had his ass outnumbered and he was 15-20 feet away.

She just panicked, she heard the taze, she was 2-4 minutes into the confrontation, she was angry and shit scared, and she just let a bullet fly.  I'm 100% sure it was an accident on her part.  but even if youre accidentally capping people, you should probably have a non-weapon job at the police station.   I'm sure there are many career options where you're not pulling guns on people in the road.  Just choose one of those.

No idea why these people are unable to comply with police during a traffic stop or any other interaction.  They love this shit.  Its like they get their dream fantasy when they see the blue lights and can't wait to act it all out in hopes of sparking an incident.

There are.  I'd guess half the jail's population are people who broke some horseshit drug law.

I've been watching the show COPS forever and seems to be theme. Huge police chase, guy jumps out and runs and then says he has a warrant or doesn't have a license. Then the cops find drugs in the car and a gun under the seat.

Hmm I wonder who signed in the three strikes bill?

I wonder why she didn't turn on her dash camera.

The cop that shot in Charlotte also didn't have his camera on, while the other 3 cops did.

Should be instant firing if you turn that thing off for anything but dropping a deuce.
