Also if you look at other pics of Arnold from this era...  he's got a nice surgery scar on his left knee or maybe both knees, I don't remember for sure.  But by this time his powerlifting days were long over, so what the hell is that supposed to prove?

According to Shawn Perine of Flex Magazine, Arnold squatted 400 for a few reps in his prime and never benched over 365. Nobody at Gold's Venice ever saw him lift anywhere near what the magazines claimed.

That deadlift photo is just weird. It doesn't even look like 700 lb.
hahahahahahahahahahahaha

It is a well known fact arnold benched 500. the squat... i dont know. I do know this... in his book, the education of a bodybuilder he says that he did squats of 250 for 54 reps. That was when he and his friend loaded a truck with weights and went to the forest to destroy their legs. The deadlift is real just count the weight.

His book he states he benched for 405 for 8 and inclined pressed 365 for 6-8, which is quite reasonable for him.  And why is so hard to believe he could not DL 710?  That's a very respectable but not an insane amount for a competitive bodybuilder of his era.

Arnold writes in his book that he squatted 500 for reps, and benched 450lbs for reps.

But there are no pictures in his book with him using that much weight.

Old or new version?  I have the old one, he states 405 for 8 was his best.

For those who call bullshit on Arnold's deadlift an Irish phrase comes to mind; Gobshites.
To translate to american it means tool/assclown. Arnold won powerlifting contests in germany/austria. Are you doubting that no german huge powerlifter can lift over 700lbs when i've seen irish guys who don't even compete or juice pull
600lbs.

It is obviously a powerlifting competition, even if the dress is unusual by our standards.
