My mercedes is 4 years old and it gives me no problems, but that is because I got a certified pre owned that means it was checked inside out to make sure there are no problems, if you are buying from some dude make sure to get a certified mercedes tech guy check it out to make sure that there are no problems, also I would not buy a mercedes that has more than 75,000 miles on it.

True but you do get a warranty from the dealer that should cover you for a bit and I never keep these cars for long anyhow I am thinking about flipping it next year for a newer used model.

I think Mercedes are priced well in Germany. They are certainly less expensive than they are in the U.S.

Since I average about 8,000 (13,000 km) a year, it will take me almost 12 years before my car "falls apart" according to you. When I traded in my previous car, it had over 150,000 miles (241,401.6 km) and was running fine with no major repairs, just normal maintenance.

It is you who is missing the point. The real reason most folks buy a high-end car is because it is a status symbol. There is nothing wrong with this, if you can afford it. Status symbols are not important to me; they seem to be to you.

if you're gonna buy a Benz that's out of warranty.. Drop the 1500-2500/year on an aftermarket warranty.

Most aftermarket warranty co's won't cover a Benz over 70k miles.

If you're buying a preowned to Benz that's out of warranty, dropped a $1,500 on an aftermarket warranty
