Catholics are not Christians TA....they are Catholics.   I don't prefer that Taylor has chosen to be a part of RC church but he has.

He's now sola Roma.  I'm still sola gratia, fide and scriptura.  Taylor will abide by the magisterium and papacy for extra-biblical teachings and I will not.

I don't hate the man LOL, but I don't agree with this choice.   Taylor notes needing the magisterium for biblical interpretation because of so many denominations, but the differences in the vast majority of denominations comes down to adiaphora while the core essentials of the faith and gospel are unified.

He's made a choice and he's free to make it, but Catholics and Christians are not the same.

FYI ~ I don't need any wikipedia articles showing how Catholics are a subset of Christianity....it's incorrect information.

Catholicism is a denomination of Christianity. Whether or not you agree to its tenets is another issue.

I just don't see how people like SF1900 could have gone decades not knowing this since Catholicism is responsible directly and indirectly for changing the course of history, especially in Europe.

Its like when you watch a movie with someone who doesn't understand it, but you do.  You might as well be watching two different movies.  I just find it really crazy considering the impact Catholicism had on the world.

He's already a man transformed by Christ.  I don't fully understand his adoption of Catholicism, but I suspected it going back about a year based on a few conversations.  I'm not surprised by this to be honest.

Yes, I am aware of general classifications, church history, the Reformation, etc....doesn't mean classifications are correct because many Catholics and Christians don't consider Catholics as Christian.
