The average price for a one bedroom apartment in major cities in Texas are well over 1,000/month (some of which are shitty, especially in the liberal paradise, Austin).
so, kids get out of college, usually with debt, and are practically forced to get a shitty job where they can't even afford to pay for a shitty one bedroom apartment and their loan debt.
SAD! I was lucky to get through school without any debt, but still was living paycheck to paycheck for a good couple of years after graduation. Couldn't imagine how the kids who have $30k-$60k worth of loan debt make it...
