If you're a shit parent, you'll have brats for kids who yell at you and "tell you what to do," as you put it. I guess you can look at it that way. I look at it as her taking good care of my offspring while I bring home the bacon. I can't say I'd be disappointed if things work out this way. Maybe its the combination of me getting older and finding someone who's actually a decent caring person, but I've been way more open to kids lately  than ever.
Don't get me wrong, if I had one with my ex by accident, I'd take care of the kid and love them regardless. It would just be tough knowing what my ex is like. An emotional robot.

Kids are something you don't understand till you have them, I never wanted kids either but it happened and you realise all the shit you thought you ever felt for any lass is absolutley nothing compared to what you feel for your kids, you care so much for their welfare and happiness you'd give up anything for them and love them more than anything even when they are being proper little shits which all kids do at times

A lot of people like the crazy busy life of having kids as weird as it may sound.  I think most people would prefer the life of a parent over the single "aesthetic life".  But there are way too many people having kids who shouldn't be.  I think every one should be fixed when they are born and be required to go through an application process to have children.  Stupid horny teenagers should by default never be able to have kids.

I guess if you're a dick in life, people will just be waiting for you to kick the bucket. I'd like to think that I'm a pretty loving person who will be missed by my family. Anything is possible though. Plus, I don't plan on being alive long enough to not be able to wipe my own ass. And if I do live that long, I'll hire a nurse to do it and will never force my children through that hell (just as I would never want to do it for either of my parents, no matter how much I love them).

Prime, I have 3 kids and I agree with you the parents are most likely to blame for this kid behaviour as described by the OP. On the other hand sometimes kids are just born terrors, pure genetics, pure dna of wich upbringing can do only so much to suppress/alter this. You know what I mean.

I'm making sure that doesn't happen by enjoying what I have now. The few hundred thousand they'll get could cause some grief, but I doubt it. I've kept my kids informed about their inheritance all along. One way to help insure one's wishes are kept is to set up a living trust. I need to get on this.

it doesn't mean they loved you less

it means when you get to the point that a large part of their life is taking care of you, they will think both you and them will be better off with you being dead

people always say "i want somebody to be there to take care of me when i'm old", fact is NOBODY wants to do that and that's no way for you or your kids to live

Im round an aquantainces house and his 3 year old is running round. Telling his mum and dad what to do, even telling me what to do. Mum you don't wash up like that, dad you shouldn't put those shoes on, telling me I don't tie my tie right. Ordering his dad not to answer the phone when it rang! Darren are you in the UK? I lived in the UK for a few years and I have to say the kids there were by far the worst behaved little devils I'd ever seen. Seriously, that country is beyond fucked if its future generations mimic current trends. I'm in Cuckanada now, and the kids here are totally different. Very compliant for the most part. But is that a surprise? Canadians have no identity or spirit. Shit most of them don't even have emotions.

Why do people have kids? It's simple. Because we're supposed to. Stop being such a fucking pussy and man up and have some kids with a nice white girl. You want to be outbred into extinction?
