I found your thoughts on why capitalism is a moral system, and your argument on the rational basis for a creator, to be original. I'd certainly never heard anything like them before.
Well, one should be mindful that just because they are hearing an idea or thought for the first time that it is coming from an original source. I would venture to say that everything that anybody has ever taught you was not the originator of that thought, idea or lesson but was learn from someone else.
The First Cause argument precedes Christ and was hotly debated during the era of Socrates (399 BC).
As far as political systems and how it effects people's behavior and influences their character has also been theorized ad infinitum.
In that discussion you referred to I had linked an article written by a graduate student who claimed that working at McDonalds taught her more about the real world than all her years in college and made her a better person. One of the examples she gave was how in college feelings are paramount. Everyone's feelings should be honored, accommodated, and catered to. If you feel offended then it doesn't matter what the offense was (say someone winked at her) just the fact that YOU were offended is all that matter and a violation was committed. Working at McDonald's your job is to be cheerful, polite and competent an no one gives a rat's ass whether you feel happy or cheerful -- you plant that smile on your face and treat everyone with courtesy and respectful whether you like them or not. Whether you want to or not.
She found that by acting happy and positive made her actually feel happy and positive. Many understand that your heart dictates your feelings and behavior but the opposite is also true. Your actions also can dictate you feelings and behavior and in fact change your very nature. Eating with you hands is natural. Being taught, even forced, to use utensils, and if done so long enough becomes your new nature. It feels more natural to eat with a knife and fork than with your hands just by doing it enough. Acting good -- just doing good acts -- helps make you good. And by the same token, acting bad turns your very nature bad. No one starts out as a serial killer. Killing and mutilating innocent people. They always starts off with animals: lizard, rats, cats... as you steadily move up the food chain and if left unchecked corrupts your soul. Just acting like a monster turns you into a monster.
In a Capitalist economy where you better please your customer or die you are forced to behave in a way that is, well, pleasing, which for most is to be treated with courtesy, respect and competence. And by behaving with courtesy, respect and competence regardless of how you are feeling at the time you improve your nature and rise above your own self-absorbed narcissism.
Now ask yourself how Communism, centralize power; Socialism, where people get something for nothing or at the expense of others; can be corrupting and make people's character worse?
