Aren't Mormons supposedly very virtuous?

I mean, not my religion, maybe it's weird in its own way, but no weirder than any Judeo Christian religion or whatever.

Christians drinking and eating the "body and blood of Christ" and what not.

It's a cult.

Sick perverted old men getting rich off the parishioners and marrying 12 teenage wives and having 10 kids with each one.

I suppose that's possible. I think most religions are cults.

I think historical context is important though.

In the 1800s the Mormon husbands were killed off, which is why to take care of the rest of the women and children, the husbands took on more wives.

I'm not saying it's right. I would never take on more than one wife. One is more than enough trouble, but that's why they did it. From everything I've read on the subject of course.

Maybe I'm just wrong.
