Not to hate on Weider, but some of how he did things was total scam artist bullshit. Especially back when he was starting, anabolics were not as known or easy to come by, and it looks like Weider would introduce bodybuilders he liked to the secret ways to look superhuman, and in return they would hock his shitty supplements and claim the supplements created the physique. God knows what other schmoe like shit bodybuilders did to get in the "inner circle", but he was fined and punished multiple times for bullshit supplements and false claims. When you hate bodybuilders denying steroids and claiming the magic powder did it all, Weider was the master of that scam. Same with the scam of promoting pulling a bunch of chicks with a bodybuilder physique when most women hate big muscles and prefer a lean physique, even swimmers build. The whole industry was built on lies and scams. It was and is an industry for in the closet gay men to worship massive muscles under the guise of sport, fitness and health. The did the bullshit biopic with Moger, but a REAL expose telling the whole truth would be fascinating.
