That's a recent pic of Kal(far left). He's nearing 70 now and has been racing master's since his 40's. He's a great guy and remains super fit. He has been living in Capistrano Beach for years and prefers a simple life now(personal training, training, and racing on the weekends).

Kal should be 64 this year (born in 1953) so he's not quite 70 yet.

Oldtimer1, thanks for posting the great abdominal pose by Joe Means.  I have never seen it before.  Ron Teufel must have brought some show stopping abdominals to the 1976 AAU Mr. America contest to win that bodypart award.  I do not envy the judges.  That had to be tough call because of the tremendous abdominals Ron Teufel displayed.

Kalman burst on the scene as a superstar winning the 1976 AAU Mr. America over great competition.  Back in the day they gave awards for body parts like best arms and back. Another category was Most Muscular.  Usually for the most ripped guy.  Joe Means at about 180lbs beat Kalman for that award. He looked ripped beyond belief.
that is a washboard!

Strange that he has such enormous upper arms, yet so thinly developed forearms.

Hey....Good for him.  A rare case of someone going from being a bodybuilder to an actual athlete.
