Wrong dead wrong more and more people are opting to pay the fine rather than pay the premium because they cannot afford the premiums more and more insurance companies In certain states are leaving Obamacare because it is not sustainable

could be even more popular now

certainly MUCH more support than what was proposed by Republicans to replace it

A poll released by Public Policy Polling on Thursday showed that 46% of Americans said they support the ACA, while 41% oppose the law.

Additionally, PPP found that 62% of people polled said they wanted to keep the ACA and make changes to it, while 33% said they wanted it repealed and the US to start over with a new healthcare law.

"Obamacare continues to become more popular the more talk there is about repealing it," PPP said in a release.

The poll follows two others that show the ACA is becoming more popular with Americans. An NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll last month found that 45% of Americans said they approved of the law and 41% disapproved, and a Morning Consult/Politico poll this week found 47% said they approved while 45% disapproved.

No... You can't get your old healthcare plan.

I understand people liking the way it was. I get it, if you were the fortunate one to have good healthcare because of company benefits or whatever. I do get it.

That said, there were tens of millions of people who had zero coverage at all and now they do. There is no way that it will go back to the way it was. It won't happen.

The only thing that's going to possible change at this point, will be socialized medicine like the rest of the western world. If you hate socialism, you're in for a bad day, because that's the only way health care will change from what you have now.

Medicare for all will be the law of the land if anything happens.

What changed from your company provided healthcare when the ACA went into effect? Why am I the only person with company paid healthcare that actually had the cost go down a bit and the coverage get a little better?

I can't be that special of a case.

You're not the only one.  The hundreds of retards that I work with all had ours go down as well.

One of the good things is that insurance companies now have to sell real coverage.  I'm sorry if you can't buy an insurance card anymore and tell people you have insurance but the fact is that
so many people whose plans changed and had to pay more is because they really didn't have coverage on the dinosaur plans of yesteryear.

Really? What was the demographic of that poll? Keep it and MAKE CHANGES to it. Fine, call it something else. Listen to the last thread I posted. No fucking way in hell youre going to tell that people are happy with a mandated health care "program" that if you don't sign up for, you get fined, pay a penalty or whatever you want to call it. I prefer to call it blackmail. You're high if you think people want that.

HAHAHAHA.   17%.  But yet Trump claiming it was "close... very close margin to being passed".

Obviously using numbers that only Coach and DeVos believe in.

How many Getbiggers qualify for the Affordable Health-care plan (Obamacare)?

Obamacare subsidy income levels
Family Size   Minimum Income: 100% of Poverty Level   Maximum Income: 400% of Poverty Level
1                                  $11,880                                                   $47,520
2                                  $16,020                                                   $64,080
3                                  $20,160                                                   $80,640
4                                  $24,300                                                   $97,200

Personal income is an individual's total earnings from wages, investment interest, and other sources. The US Census Bureau reported a median personal income of $30,240 for all workers over age 15 with income, and a mean personal income of $44,510 based on the Current Population Survey for 2015.

Incomes have gone up since 2015. The census for 2016 income will be announced in September 2017.

Let's use a bodybuilding comparison:
Trump care ( AHCA)- never competed and quit after 17 days of dieting :o
Obamacare (ACA) - competing and placing in shows for 7 years and counting ;)

'nuff said

The only shoved down your throat was a harsh dose of reality for the past eight years.

I take it you prefer the taste of your own delusions better?

People on welfare not paying for ObamaCare love it.  People who work for a living and pay for it hate it.

It's called Medicaid/Medicare.  It existed long before Obama came around.

How do you get that it's people on welfare? Because they are poor? So all poor people are on welfare.

Interesting rationale.

Yes.  Cause those actually paying for it have seen drastic price hikes.  Those who are on welfare and the public tit like strawqueen and andreisamess who get free Medicare or subsidies love it.

Actually to qualify for Obamacare you have to make a minimum of $12K (that is what I have heard here).  If you are on welfare, you get Medicaid.

Tell me about that "harsh reality" again. The "harsh reality" was on Nov. 8 when you thought Killary was going to win by 98% and then the people spoke. Basically saying they REJECTED the last eight years of lies and didn't want to continue with the same bullshit. There...there is YOUR harsh reality!!

and 4 years later it much more popular - which is very likely due to people actually having a chance to use it and realize the benefits in their own lives or those of their family members

This....is absolute horse shit.  Obamacare is a disaster by any sane assessment.  It's not a shit storm, it's a shit hurricane.

If healthcare wasn't so important to Americans I would tell Trump to do nothing and just let it collapse on itself.  It's currently in a death spiral.

Yeah.  The people spoke.   That is why more of them voted Clinton than Trump.

That's the reality.  Trump couldn't get the  majority of the country's votes.  Hell, Trump can't even get a majority of votes in his own party  now.  Duh!!

Anyone who doesn't work - whether they can or not - is on Medicaid/Medicare.  That is a part of Social Security/Disability/Welfare.  That has nothing to do with Obamacare.  Those benefits were standard long before Obama took office.  Obamacare is for health insurance coverage for people who are working and do not qualify for Medicaid/Medicare.  People making low income saw their insurance premiums go down.  The entry level OR tech that started Jan 1st here is making $24K a year.  (Not much, but he is only 19 with a 6 month certificate) his Obamacare monthly payment is $34.  That is not a shit plan either.  Blue Cross Blue Shield, $750 Deductible, $1500 out of pocket, $5 doc, $15 specialist, $5 Rx (brand name).

Great plan, saves him a ton of money each month that he doesn't have to spend hundreds on health care.  But it is EXACTLY because he benefits from it is why insurance companies jacked up the premiums for everyone else that didn't qualify as low income.  Yeah.. he might save some money, but 4-5 other people out there are now paying higher rates to compensate the insurance companies for their "loss", so to speak.

But yeah.... welfare and people who can work but don't.... that's whole another can of worms there you don't want me to get started on.
