Actually not Many people noticed but Left tricep was the first one to go. Then the tears in Lats and quad made it impossible for him to remain competitive.
Most people had noticed the tricep back then.

There is no explanation for Jay's Arnold wins, outside of people having something against Chris Cormier due to his incident with Ahmo Hight.

Aside from a few showings jay is a subpar bber that didn’t deserve 95% of his wins

Jay from the front in 2009, was a beast, and the best he has ever looked.
But 2006, 2007, 2010, he was beaten by Vic Martinez, Wolf, Dex, Ronnie, Phil (not in that order, but in the years that Jay won).

At the 2006 MrO in prejudging, Ronnie was like a balloon. In the final he was clearly better.

I think one could argue that Jay deserved the win in 2006...or close.  In 2010, it was also pretty close, although one could argue that Phil won.

Now 2007...that was just a tragedy for the other competitors.  Ronnie should have been, what, 5th in that contest?  4th at best?  One could argue maybe he looked better than Ronnie.  Maybe.  But how did he beat Dennis Wolf and Victor Martinez?  Haha.

It's sad because Victor Martinez may retire having never won the Mr. Olympia.  At 44, that is likely for him.  Now imagine Vic, knowing that he should have won in 2007...likewise, imagine being Johny Hendricks who lost 5 of his last 6 UFC fights.  Many argued that he beat Georges St-Pierre at UFC 167.  But in the end, the judges sided with St-Pierre, and Johny was devastated.

At least in Johny's case, he did move on to winning the welterweight belt.  So at least he has the memory of being the world champion.  That is so important...so important.  Poor Victor though...he will retire most likely without an Olympia win, knowing that he was the rightful champion in 2007, yet placed 2nd for some unbeknownst reason.  That said, I think that contest stopped the judges from just giving it to the champ.  Hence Dexter's win the following year in 2008.
