nice i will try that.

i think meat in 2017 really needs to be treated as more of a dessert and less of a main every day type of thing for real health. i have totally avoided all poultry or red meat , and swine basically because i am a very big animal lover and finally realized that its hypocritical to have these killed for me, while im so in love with dogs and other animals. if i could humanely kill a wild animal and source all its parts, im ok with that and would do it sparingly but factory farms where your subway sandwhich and other markets source meat from, you will never know how that animal was treated...ever. honestly, im just trying to take more responsibility as a consumer, instead of just a mindless zombie who eats chicken or steak without knowing where its from or how it died. we are so removed from nature. not knocking anyone who eats these things, my wife still does. and i never tell people what i eat or dont eat, i just do this for me and maybe others reading this might see that this makes sense and give it a whirl. i definitely do not miss chicken or hamburgers. its either a small peice of fish, or rice and beans or something for dinner. some days no meat of any kind just oats, rice, beans, veggies. feel great

dude its my breakfast and i feel full as shit, awesome, tons of energy too.

old school black coffee, 33 oz water, 3 seervings of veggies, 25 grams of liquid egg whites and 2 tablespoons of coconut oil (MCT goodies) but I love the way it tastes. i get black coffee and pepper in some cinnamon and tastes amazing

i try not think "how sausage is made" my family is very german and one of family members had a butcher shop so ive consumed tons of red meat as a kid. then when i was on my own "holy shit red meat is $$$"

I dont like to get personal (its a forum and some wierd dudes here) my dad was very lean and healthy, fit guy, very healthly, 1960s bodybuilder type - he consumed tons of red meat being german, the US army, loved red meat etc and he has onset of Alztimers.  consumed tons of red meat. I love my dad and miss talking to him like I used too  :-[

Ive always pondered about that

Haha yes.

Man actually dosn't need to eat meat at all. Every animal you eat you are simply a murderer.

Btw,for those who say that man is carnivore:
Apparently humans have gotten taller due to higher protein consumption (meat). It has been said that the Native Americans were taller than their white colonial counterparts due to higher protein (meat consumption). And Japanese women's breasts have gotten bigger due to higher protein diets. The downside, is that the rates of breast cancer have risen.

Meat should be eaten sparingly or not at all.  It's not needed for strength or health.  Factory farming is pretty horrific.

Americans go all second amendment if you threaten their "goddamn constitutional right" to eat vast quantities of beef. This being an American board you are more likely to get angry defensive threats than a reasonable conversation.

I take it you nerds who sprout this shit apply it to all living things? Do you let a wasp fly around in your house till it decides to sting you as killing it would make you a murderer? If you catch pubic lice do you let them live freely there as killing them would be murder?

yeah killing a pest in your house is totally the same as killing an intelligent animal minding its own business all because you like the taste ::)

not one single particular diet works for everyone. We are all different and need to find what works for ourselves.  that's it.

I have never known anyone to eat in a calorific deficit for a period of time and not lose weight.

it does actually work for everyone.

nothing that I said referred to calories. it was about what you are eating and how you feel/overall health.

Some people can thrive off vegan diets and others require some meat. And there are all kinds of varying ratios in between. It's ridiculous to suggest that a vegan diet will work for everyone for.optimum health.

I see, I misread what you meant.
Inuit's wouldn't last long eating a vegan diet, there bodies have adapted to a very high fat high protein diet.

Vegan = Alzheimer's

"Vitamin B12 is an essential water-soluble vitamin that is commonly found in a variety of foods, such as fish, shellfish, meat, eggs, and dairy products."

"Studies have shown that a deficiency of vitamin B12 can lead to abnormal mental symptoms. These symptoms may include ataxia (shaky movements and unsteady gait), muscle weakness, spasticity (stiff or rigid muscles), incontinence (lack of bladder and/or bowel control), hypotension (low blood pressure), vision problems, dementia, psychoses (abnormal condition of the mind), and mood disturbances."

"Some people diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease have been found to have abnormally low vitamin B12 levels in their blood. The effects of vitamin B12 supplementation on the prevention or progression of Alzheimer's disease remain unclear. More studies are needed before a conclusion can be made."

Its well known already that you need to take a b12 supplement if you are a vegan but that's it.  A whole food plant based diet blows a meat filled one out of the water.

It isn't well known yet whether or not B12 supplementation is enough to prevent Alzheimer's disease.  More studies are needed before a conclusion can be made.
