I was once asked to do a private photo shoot back in 96, said he just wanted a physique guy for some shots, didnt do it.
Did a job for a camera club in 89, they wanted someone in shape for some photos, one of the photos turned up a couple years later wining second prize in a photo competition in the local paper.

I dont think I come across as desperate and available, hence the lack of offers.
I also dont really act like a bodybuilder when Im not onstage or in the gym, I dress down and am a bit Clark Kentish.

I grew up in NYC too..I know all about the gay scene there.
There used to be a tranny bar off 8th ave and 44th street {i think }called "Esquilitas" {i think that was the name}.
In the early 90s there was a rather well known professional bodybuilder that used to frequent there ALL the time.
If I said his name every single guy here over 35 would know who he is. Am I gonna blow him up the way you may have done?

id imagine everyone who looked decent back in the 80s and 90s in Venice was asked. I was asked several times and I was done competing then but still in great shape. It was my experience that they asked for picture shoots. Always these out of shape donut soft type guys or skinny pale white guy who would hang around the gym. I'm imagining the shoot would lead to much more

I just got off the phone with a friend in NYC and he reminded me that I'd met him a few years ago. Sorta met him. We were at a press release for a Larry Kramer thing. I didn't know who he was. I remember he was morbidly obese and 'dirty'. Like drugs kinda dirty. That's the vibe I got from him. He was with AT LEAST three go-go boys who were CLEARLY working the room. Fucking tacky.
I saw his pic online and still dont remember his face.

You make a totally valid point. I can't know if it's true or not. I mis-spoke.
You're also correct about gay actors never REALLY getting caught out there.
Other than Travolta --I dunno any big stars of today that have gotten caught like that.
