in football, base4ball, hockey and soccer we don't whine about the "personality" traits of the champs

but for some stupid reason in bodybuilding we DEMAND our champs to be sensitive to everyone's feelings and to be ambassadors

I don't like Phil but he is a fucking Champ Period.

totally disagreee with this statement. When a pro athlete is a dick like Heath is word spreads far and fast and people bitch. An example I can think of is when Evander Kane in hockey used a stack of money to his ear like a phone on IG. He never heard the end of that and had to straighten his shit out. If anything I believe the spotlight on the behavior of athletes in real sports to be a decent person and ambassador is much higher

Lame comparison because in football, baseball, hockey and soccer you can have the luxury to be a boring/asshole player because fans follow the team before the athlete becomes a "star" in it, so even if the player is a jerk with  a shitty personality the goal is to make their team a winning one .

Maybe you're missing the whole point of thread , Phil is the champ yes, but for someone that has won 6 damn Mr.O he is a poor ambassador/face/representation of Bodybuilding ..to the point that bodybuilding fans are not looking forward to watch him tie Arnolds record.

His tenure didn't last very long.
He seemed surprised that he was inundated with a lot of questions about drugs.
At one point he even claimed that the board was overly negative towards him.
