US Congress just passed HR 1865, "FOSTA", seeking to subject websites to criminal and civil liability when third parties (users) misuse online personals unlawfully.

Any tool or service can be misused. We can't take such risk without jeopardizing all our other services, so we are regretfully taking craigslist personals offline. Hopefully we can bring them back some day.

To the millions of spouses, partners, and couples who met through craigslist, we wish you every happiness!

Sometimes government intrusion is outrageous. This is a good example of this.

Prostitution is illegal and I believe that is what's at the crux of HR 1865. If you don't like social media sites like Craig's list, don't patronize them. It should be just that simple. IMO prostitution should be legal. It's been around since the beginning of time. It is not going away.

Did Trump sign this into law? Trump applauds passage of trafficking bill that chips Internet legal pillar. Trump is a hypocrite.
