I've just learned that form WWWF/WWE world champion Bruno Sammartino has passed away at the age of 82. More details as I get them... :-\

WWE Hall of Famer Bruno Sammartino has passed away at the age of 82.
 The two-time WWWF Champion passed away at his home in Pittsburgh, PA this morning following a hospitalization, according to PWInsider. Stay tuned as we hope to have more details on his passing soon.

I just saw his documentary on the WWE network and boy was it very interesting. Never realized just how huge his following was in the North East. I knew he was big but boy was he BIG. I remember my grandfather mentioning him several times to me when he was alive. Sammartino was great friends with Arnold and Franco too. Did he ever patch things up with his son David?

Brother, fans used to actually CRY when Bruno was "in trouble."

While it was a rumor that Bruno's bitterness towards the McMahons' and the Fed were based on the fact that his son never got a push, I am unaware of his most recent relationship with son David.
