Obama lied about some big things - but I've always said he told people exactly how he was going to wreck the country with his policy. He did it with no loyal opposition from the press or the GOP because everybody wanted to not be a "racist". You can also add in the Fed leaving rates at near zero to help offset the ACA economic impact.
