Great finish nice work, love older houses for their high ceilings and larger rooms compared to what you get on new builds. Did it need much stripping out? My house is 1935 and needed taken back to bare brick and done from scratch

cheers dude. house was built something like 1908 IIRC which i think technically makes it edwardian, but it's still really classic victorian in style. TBH it was in pretty good nick when we bought it (one of main reasons we did).  in most rooms apart from kitchen it's just been a case of redecorating, flooring, furnishing etc. All the period ceiling coving, roses, skirting boards, etc were all pretty decent. floor boards were all perfect and it had been re roofed a couple years before we moved in. electrics had been done too, although we updated the consumer board to comply with newest regs when we had kitchen done.

has still cost a fortune getting all done though as is a big house in terms of square footage and we wanted to go quite high end on a lot of stuff. for instance to carpet the first floor and stairways cost £3500. best part of £2k for parquet flooring in hallway which extends behind stairs to back reception room and kitchen was an arm an leg! garden needs quite a bit of tidying up but that will probably have to wait a couple years.

I simply right clicked on your avatar and followed the link to your Photobucket and was able to view all the albums because YOU never made your account private.
