How different would the world be if no one was able to lie anymore starting

Would it erupt in all out violence? Would there be world peace? I'd like to hear some your opinions.  My thoughts are, there would be initial eruption of violence and there would be death and destruction, but there would be pure truth and then would come understanding and compliance. It would be a very different world.

People wouldnt be able to handle the truth.

Many people would have their whole world turned upside down, finding out theyve believed out right lies as truths or they wouldnt accept the truth and theyd continue to believe the lies.

My wife and I have a policy that we don’t lie. Really to each other, but other folks in general. I can’t remember the last time I lied. Life is tough enough as it is, don’t put undo stress on yourself by carrying the weight of the lie and the stress of keeping up with them. Thats a good policy to have but I think Wiggs meant on a bigger picture level.

Like the government admits we've had alien contact, or that their was never contact. Or religious leaders admitting whatever truths.

I guess it depends on whether you believe people are mostly inherently good or mostly inherently bad. I think the ability to lie, deceive, withhold (which isn't exclusive to humans) is a big part of community building.

I think most lies as regular people not as politicians we lie in order to not hurt ones feelings by deflecting the whole truth I don't make lying a habit but it is a very interesting concept no lies whatsoever
