« on: June 21, 2019, 04:51:28 PM »

What does he say about looking up his nostrils at the beginning..?  Is it a cocaine joke or something..?

Oh, and pretty impressive, I fear for his health, etc.

Here Eddie Hall does 500 lbs for 10 reps and he pauses each time. Without a spotter! And no wraps. Insane! Starts at 1:15

Don't want to be that nitpicking guy since that is incredible strength, but he doesn't go all the way up and he appears to bounce reps.  I don't think he would get more than 5-7 reps if he is doing them legit.

Are there powerlifting meets for reps?

Why critique his technique when it would be much easier to point out hes wearing wraps on his elbows, saying he's cheating on the pressing because he isnt locking out and because hes bouncing makes you look like a doofus.

I'd also like to point out he would get fewer reps if he did a 10 second pause at the bottom like (insert some ole tyme strength athlete) used to.

Oh and Hows your strong man training going?

Looking at Larry's video I see five 45 lbs plates each side. Assuming the bar is 45 lbs that equals 10 x 45 + 45 = 495 lbs. I think they are rounding it off to 500 lbs. Eddie was benching 5 plates each side in the video and so was Larry. SO what's the difference it is the same weight +/- 1 lbs. For all we know Eddie's plates may have been a little heavier. What's impressive is he did it without elbow or wrist wraps. I doubt Larry would get many reps without all those supports. His joints probably won't handle it.

Regardless of wrist wraps, elbow wraps, how many people can do that many reps being 9 percent or lower in bf levels?

Exactly and Eddie just has a slight weight advantage. :D He was probably well over 400 in the 2016 vid.

Not many. 12 reps with 495 lbs is amazing wraps or not I agree. Just saying guys like Eddie Hall were off the chart strong. I can't believe he did that without any elbow supports or a spotter!

Here Thor does 25 reps reverse grip with 315 lbs. O'Hearn manages 21! Not bad!

Everyone knows bouncing reps and not going all the way up doesn’t count.  You probably shouldn’t post on things you don’t know about dave, it makes you look pretty stupid.

LISTEN "Penisballz", oh brother  ::), there is no such thing as powerlifting meets for reps.

Nothing "counts" for anything unless its documented by a weight lifting federation and I've got some bad news for you.

As of 6/24/19 Larry Wheels is the offical international DD YouTube record holder in the bench press for reps category. According to our recently established by laws a bounce of no more than 2 inches is allowed on the flat bench. In addition the lifter may not lock out when competing in the "for reps" category.

A full lock out on the final rep is required to count the final rep in thej lifters total, if full lockout isnt achieved the lifters total count is reduced by one rep.

Also of the  federations that "count", which of those allow elbow wraps? Thank you.

I never even brought up powerlifting and could care less about it so I’m not sure why you are trying to school me on the rules of the sport.  I said he wouldn’t get 12 reps if he was doing them legit.  To me(and most people), legit means lowering the weight to your chest without bouncing it and then pushing it all the way back up.  He wouldn’t get 12 reps if he did that in my opinion.
