I'm not liberal per se. I am pro-life. I sympathize with most republical policies and values. I believe there is absolute objective truth and reject all forms of relativism and pluralism. I am highly skeptical of the efficacy of economic liberalism/socialism, and think laissez faire capitalism is probably the most practical/utilitarian way to raise standard of living (though I do question the wisdom of utilitarianism). Etc.
The U.S. economy has been on the rise since 2008. Real Estate prices are at an all time high, although leveling off some. Having been around since 1944, I've seen our economy grow and falter many times. I've also experienced many more administrations than most folks on Getbig. Some have been better than others, regardless of which political party was dominate.
The media feeds us folks a lot of doom and gloom negativity because it sells better. Unfortunately, many people buy into what is reported without really putting it into perspective. The bottom line is that the U.S. has a history of financial and lifestyle improvement. I am less concerned about which party has more power than I am with voters electing people into office who are not qualified to administrate and legislate.
