Still no match with coleman. Hey trew up the 200's like nothing, years on end.
Coleman's training (very heavy, high volume, combined with training every muscle like this twice a week) is unmatched.

Not many in history could match up with Ronnie, even his own skeleton. Guy was too strong for his own good.

Coleman's video is something we might not see again ever. Trained with volume. He didn't specialize in a few lifts. He did 4 or 5 exercises a body part. Lifted insane poundage week in and week out. I have to dig out his video again. No wonder his body is destroyed. I don't think there is a human on earth that could have kept up with him for a training week. Imagine a top powerlifter trying to keep up with his volume plus cardio every week. They would gasping for breath half way through a training session. Just sad to see him now just a shell of himself.

I never bought into the shorter limbs thing too much. Like in Bench, everyone has a plane they need to cross. (Except of course the fat-belly benchers).
The strongest people in the world are the 7-foot WSM guys. (Thor, Shaw, etc).

There may be something to it, but strong is strong no matter how short or tall. I know tall/lanky older guys, who barely lift, and do reps w/ 315 on bench. (We have a two at local gym).
Then jacked-shorter young guys, struggle w/ 225.

Very odd/random how things work I guess...

Interesting view on things. I agree. But the ting is thor and shawn are weak bench pressers compared to other lifts. Or am I mistaken?

HafThor is so immensely tall and large. Dwarfing everything and everyone in sight.
His girl is like 155cm (5ft) tall, looks like a child next to him.

No way Coleman would even place in any WSM event. Remember some of the events are for max reps, not max weight. Look at these guys squatting for reps outside in the sun in Africa! Coleman would not be able to keep up with the weights these guys are handling - or the reps.

Yes Ronnie was strong as fuck for a bodybuilder. Dallas McCarver was also strong as hell and his deadlifts matched Coleman's. Dallas is dead and Ronnie's body is destroyed. His bone structure was not ideal for the weights he moved. Bigger bones and joints are needed which he did not have.

Go look at some of Eddie Hall's workout videos - even now that he is retired. He trains with fucking volume. Coleman would not keep up with him.

Those strongmen competitors have to be able to run around with weights in their arms. Endurance and strength is very important in WSM and the other contests.

Where is he doing Ronnie's 2 hours routine day in and day out?  It's one thing to be a specialist in a couple of lifts. It's another to be strong in every lift.

Agree as far as bbers go

The way he trained with that volume in the 10-12 if not more reps was insane, his form wasn’t too bad, full range still compared to those two morons branch and johnnie

Go watch his videos - he'll do lifts before to warm up. He doesn't just go in and start benching six plates. He'll do incline after flat bench presses. When he squats he goes and does heavy leg presses afterwards etc. Strongmen have to be able to run in some events - with heavy bags, fridges, safes you name it. They don't just do max single lifts like powerlifters.

Ronnie packed a lot of weight on his frame and had impressive vascularity etc. But to think he was the greatest lifter ever and that nobody could keep up with him is BS.

His wife is so cute. I can just tell from the videos that she is a decent person. She seems kind of shy a bit.

Shaw and Thor have both bench pressed over 500 lbs. I think Shaw is a bit better in bench than Thor, but not by much. They both don't come close to Eddie who is about 6'-2" apparently (he is not really 6'-3" by his own admission). Perhaps Thor is also not 6'-9" and more like 6'-8.5". Everyone rounds off and adds a little to their stats.

Eddie hall is one of the strongest guys ever... So to say that ronnie couldn't keep up with him? No shit....

Remember all these guys you mention are all eating 10k calories a day and are 30+ percent bodyweight...

Coleman was on a contest prep diet, at 4% bodyweight, doing 2 hours cardio a day, not cycling his training for max strength gains etc etc etc, when ronnie is considered in this context he was a true freak......

Both Fat Eddie and Ronnie are good "deadpool" candidates for 2020.

Not great benchers, but I have no doubt if they focused on it, it would go up immensely. They both don't spend much time on it at all...

Ronnie was doing those poundages a few weeks out from the Olympia, the powerlifters and strong men have weeks of thousands of calories to build to those lifts

So little fat on his body must have contributed to the skeletal damage he has suffered since
