My gym american barbell closed till end of the month. Thankfully i have a backup facility. Stupid virus. I want a refund for the month i just paid for!

that's my gym too
just did my last workout there for at least two weeks (closed until 3/31)
trained legs on Saturday and upper body today

I inquired on a refund since i pay monthly ($50!) and was politely given a card to call for probably bad news but we will see.

24 hr fitness is still charging your card.

So they are closing the gym indefinitely but still charging you indefinitely? What a deal. Sounds like the making of a class action law suit.

I can tell you all one thing-this virus will not stop me. A dislocated shoulder couldnt, internal bleeding couldnt, drug addiction couldnt, and finally, the corona virus and widespread fear will not. I will prevail and I encourage all of you to say to yourselves that it wont stop any of you either.

Anyone know about the charges at Golds Venice during this time? I know they'll charge for this month, but if this goes on for months it's hundreds in gym fees with no gym. Does Gold's have a membership freeze option? When one goes on an extended vacation or something?
