Where I live almost every BJJ school also offers striking or Muy Thai to be more well rounded.
I think the goal would to be well rounded fighter like Bas Rutten. He is excellent on his feet
or on the ground. Plus he loves head butts and liver shots. He's not afraid to teach real street fighting.
If schools teach like he does you can pretty well rounded. Let's face it most aholes in a bar
are only trained in sucker punches and sloppy hooks.
I'm old school Karate. No need for all the smoke and mirrors. I find a kick to the head works quite nicely.

ITF Black Belt, Shotokan Brown Belt. I beat guys up.
You got that right. Streetfights are won with fists, feet, knees and elbows.

And a knife, beer bottle, or a gun, anything you can pick up

So how would Mike Tyson have done in the UFC?

As tremendous as his striking was - truly, a beautiful work of art in motion to behold, along with the striking of Evander Holyfield - I just don't see him beating much more well-rounded heavyweight fighters, who fill the ranks of the UFC heavyweight division.

Do we have any examples to compare this too?

Because I can't think of any prolific striker who rose to the top of the UFC heavyweight rankings who did not also have top wrestling [Stipe Miocic and Brock Lesnar come to mind].

Discuss.

PS - I have UFC Fight Pass.  Does anyone have any Ironage UFC fights that they recommend that I view?

In his prime, he would have destroyed anyone in his path. He had too much going for him: speed, foot work, and an unheard of punching power none of those bjj guys have ever encountered. An absolute animal from the worst streets of Brooklyn, with sledge hammer punching power

So I'm guessing you think Tyson would have easily been able to keep the fight standing?

To get Tyson on the ground you have to step in his punching range. The speed, power and precision of that man. Good luck avoiding getting caught.

Itīs not really a question of if BJJ is shit or not but rather the man behind it.  Itīs the same with choosing a style or school, what is more important is the teacher Sensei, sifu..etc.

Apples and oranges my friend. Seagal is an Aikido master, very tall and presently morbidly obese. I am a Karate black belt and a powerlifter/bodybuilder.

When was his prime?  He was 23 years old when he got knocked out by Buster Douglas.
