From Isabel - I’m speechless right now to learn the passing of IFBB Pro Joanna Thomas. She was a phenomenal bodybuilder with such a beautiful structure. I remember first meeting Joanna when I was a amateur bodybuilder. I drove down from Orlando to see her in Fort Lauderdale. I went to her house, and here walks out this blonde short musclewoman with a lot of spark. She was very passionate and hardcore about bodybuilding. She taught me about posing and being super girlie on stage. After that meeting we became friends. I remember when I was in Cali and she somehow got me into to Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger’s birthday dinner where I first met Arnold and his wife Maria Shriver. I was mind blown as I was only 23 yrs old at the time, and I’m meeting the Gov. of California and the greatest bodybuilder of all time not to mention the Terminator lol. She always wanted to see me do well, and always gave me a lot of support as a friend. We had some great laughs and good times. She was a good friend with a big heart, and will be missed. ❤️🙏
From Derwin - I'm very shocked & saddened to have just received news of the passing of Joanna Thomas, the British IFBB Pro Female Bodybuilder who became known worldwide after being featured in TLC's "Supersize She". She had been struggling with health issues for quite some time since her retirement & return to the U.K., of which she seemed to be slowly turning the corner on towards finding some happiness & peace of mind away from the spotlight, which makes this news twice as sad. R.I.P."
From Amanda - Very sad news... IFBB Pro bodybuilder Joanna Thomas passed away yesterday in her apartment in the UK. This has been confirmed by her family. Cause of death unknown at this time. Joanna was a former training partner of mine when she lived in Florida and a very dear friend of almost 18 years. She will be very missed. Thanks for always telling it as it is and being an unconditional friend. Love you Jo. May you now Rest In Peace.
