They take a sample of likely candidates, run models, do polling, etc and draw a conclusion.  It's not meant to be absolute, has margins of error, etc, but it  gives them a directional idea of what they're dealing with.

First the radio station admitted they took questions given to them from the Biden campaign, which cost a woman her job.  Now this.

It is proving what we all knew - the media has been complicit in covering up for Biden for a long time, and now they're realizing they are going to be fucked for it:

President Joe Biden introduced Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky as 'President Putin' in a brutal gaffe at the NATO summit with his political future hanging by a thread.

The 81-year-old facing mounting calls to drop out of the presidential race said: 'Ladies and gentlemen, President Putin.'

The major flub in front of world leaders sparked gasps and those in the room had to shout the correct name.

'No, we're going to beat Putin,' Biden said.

His gaffe came in front of world allies who had joined him for the announcement and shortly before his make-or-break press conference, where his performance will determine whether he remains the Democratic nominee for president.

Biden had announced a new $225 million aid package for Ukraine, including a Patriot missile system to bolster its air defenses against the Russian airstrikes when he made his gaffe.

Behind the scenes at NATO summit, world leaders have been concerned about Biden's cognitive decline.

One senior diplomat reportedly said that politicians from around the globe fear he could fall and are 'worried if he knows which direction he is going'.

It's a typical Biden speech alright... Same as we have seen in the last 3-4 years but the media only "discovered" this after the debate disaster.
