I wonder if this is a real story. The prose are such that it reminds of something that might've been cut & pasted from a mag.

In the final analysis, it doesn't really matter what people think, although I hope to help others.  If you have read my story, you will know that I already received my "reward" (and I'm looking at their picture taped to my console as I type this).  I feel nothing to prove and remain humbly indebted to this sport and, by extension, to all of the participants in it.
