He was a visionary.
I'd say! He was bang on about straight men having almost no risk of getting HIV from a woman's [fishy] vagina.
In general, [fishy] vaginas are extremely poor vectors of HIV.
It's a blood-based virus, for crying out loud, LOL!
Realistically, how is a man going to get HIV from a woman's vaginal fluids unless she is menstruating, and his penis has a cut on it?
I laugh my ass off looking back at how everyone was afraid of HIV/AIDS in the 1980's and 1990's, when 87% of people who get HIV are homosexual males receiving anal sex, and people who use intravenous drugs using shared needles.
The remaining 13% were women who received anal sex from their bisexual partners/flings, who had received anal sex themselves [or shared intravenous drugs].
Basically, to your BRILLIANT [and visionary] grandfather's point, if you are a male:
- Are you receiving anal sex?
- Are you sharing intravenous needles?
If you answered no to both questions, THEN WHY THE F*CK ARE YOU AFRAID OF GETTING HIV?
LOL.
A woman receiving vaginal sex from a man who has HIV has an increased risk...but again, it is a blood-based disease, so anal sex and shared needles are the biggest risk factors.
Again, a straight male would have to have sex with 2,400 women with HIV or AIDS in order to be likely to get it. And that's through unprotected sex. With a condom, the odds and even lower than that.
Basically, ask yourself this question also: does your dick have a cut on it? Is it bleeding? Then the odds are even lower still.
