He is my age and claiming to workout like a madman daily then shows a pic from 20+ years ago ok great we all looked good in 2000 in our 20s what does today look like???

It’s really simple.  I got bored w bb.   I do more other stuff now.    Never lost muscle size but focused on other goals. 

Training is life when you love it so much.   The idea is keep it fresh and interesting.   

Your present goals are abs might be different than others and that’s great.   Mine right now are not BB but endurance and performance. 

But I’m sitting pretty T 195 or close and shredded.   It’s all good.

2000 was a long time ago all I am saying is are you a mule or a thoroughbred. Mules do Burpees and Sandbag drags they are work animals for plowing fields. Thoroughbreds do sets then eat and relax while the mules are still plowing the fields. If I wanted to break a sweat I would bang my girlfriend and I turn the AC down prior to that. If you want to make gains you need to eat and rest not work yourself into the ground. I am a white collar thoroughbred athlete not a Blue collar work mule.

Abs have never been a goal. I don't even train abs.  I am actually bulking. I just have abs because I train and eat correctly. They stabilize everything you do if you don't have abs your workout and diet is dogshit. We can all be at different stages of getting huge but if you don't have abs do you really train? There is no excuse to be soft. Unless you are 300lbs and bulking doing strongman contest you should have abs. Even girls who train have abs that is like step one to being an athlete a given then its how big are your arms but without abs arms don't count without arms abs don't count.

That's a meaningless comparison. Training specificity is a thing. I am a cyclist and you couldn't last 60 seconds on a hilly ride with me no matter how many "gorucks" you do. The first hill we hit you'd be pedaling squares. On the other hand, I'd be crying if i had to walk 20 yards with a heavy backpack.


As for grandma gardening- she's the first one to ask a big strong boy to help move rocks, lol

1) You will never be fully recovered.  You're a broken down pile of crap.  Your outside has signs of rust but your engine is blown, your frame is cracked, your steering system is jacked, your leaking oil.  Yep, by all definition a show pony.
2) I fully understand strength, you do not.  When we expect a video of your "strength" you possess (and not the strength of excuses you have)
3) You are just a bow legged twat. 
4) Wow you can train high reps....please tell us the more about what causes hypertrophy of Type IIa, b, and c fibers Mr. Self Educated

If you think you have me beat post a current pic. Legs absolutely respond better to volume and reps. You can see a mans strength in his forearm. I am also training high reps because I know my muscle are too strong if I train low reps heavy I risk tendon and ligament damage. I still have recent injuries which are not ready for low rep sets yet I am doing lower reps for some exercises but doing lower reps and less sets doesn't make you hardcore that isn't how it works. I train to grow my muscles not my ego that is another reason I train at home. Keep doing one rep sumo squats with all the weight you can load on the bar have fun with that I will stick to sets of 20-30 reps and look and feel better

You don't necessarily have to be mean mugging people or staring at the ground at the gym to be training hard. It's possible to switch things off and on as you go. Some of the most brutal sessions I had involved a lot of jokes and laughter between sets and then blood pouring out the nose, fainting, temporary blindness and vomiting. What do you guys do when gym regulars come and say hello and perhaps ask you about progress and plans etc during your workout? Just ask them to shut the fuck up because you're so hardcore?

Maybe if you angle your right side closer to the camera your imbalance won't look so striking?
