Yep, a training day, followed by 1 or 2 rest days. 48 hours is only too short when your volume for a certain group is too high. For example, I went from 2 deadlift sets to one. It takes some time/experience to find your volume/muscle and max weights for n reps. The sample workout on that page is a good one, though I use a different one (more free weight / multi joint exercises).
