It looks like the heroic Asian immediately paralyzed his would-be oppressor with the final cervical vertebrae skewer.
The erstwhile able-bodied criminal thought he would just leap the counter, pretend the Asian wasn't there because he "knew" he wouldn't fight back, and start pulling things off shelves.
