That's just so Disney can sell more toys and merchandize.  They have to keep coming up with new crap like that.

I thought the same thing.  He seems like a much better fighter in his Tusken Raiders flash backs.

Maybe it can be chalked up to him being in recovery.  Trying to give them an excuse. But, if you read the books, people were afraid to be in the same room as him.

BUT, getting hit with three triangular hunks of metal to the face should bloody him up.

Episode 5 was the best of the season.

For all the wrong reasons though.

I know.  It's like they made a mistake and uploaded an episode from another show.

I'm watching it. It's OK. Boba was such a cool character the original movies didn't have enough scenes with him in it.

The episodes seem pretty childish but still entertaining.  My biggest complaint is its not true to the character.  Fett was ruthless. I know escaping from the sarlak pitt 'changed' him.But its really just the costume and name at this point.

Ill watch the whole season and a season 2 if there is one. Its good enough to keep watching but its fairly sterile.

Yeah, if you read Tales from the Bounty Hunter Fett was so feared even casual people didn't want to be in the same room.

Just watched Episode 5, it's the best episode so far.

The other episodes have been decent though, 2 and 4 were good. Episode 3 was probably the worst.

So the last two episodes have essentially been the Mandalorian and honestly the best two episodes of the season.  Seeing young Luke is kind of strange but I guess he is happy being at peace finally.  Interesting to see the jedi training temple being build where Kylo Ren eventually kills all students.  I really think Disney needs to redo episodes 7-9 with this crew.  Favreau writing and Rodriguez directing.  it can be something special.

The most vicious act this season had nothing to do with Boba but when Mando cuts that guy and table in half.  This is how vicious Boba needs to be.

Agree with all.

In the books, Fett was so dangerous, other bounty hunters didn't even want to be in the same room as him, even if they had no beef.  Fett needs to keep his helmet on more, wipe our the Millennial  Falcon gang he hired, and have an epic battle with Cad Bane (who was awesome).

Yeah. No need to take off helmet or be in a healing water tank.  They should have kept him mysterious and have us wonder more about him.

I think Grogu will pick the gift. What is the mandalorian without the little green guy? Plus now he has some skills to use.  Plus I’d assume if he stayed he’d be killed by Kylo since he took down all young Jedis.

Yes, definitely taking the armor.

Uber-nerd theory I was told today - the creator of the darksaber was the only jedi mandalorian ever, and there was questions whether he was a padawan or a foundling.....same thing said about grogu last episode.......so maybe he takes the armor and eventually owns the darksaber?

I liked how he referred to him as a Mandalorian youngling. It even confused Asoka.  I guess Din is not mandalorian anyways since he was kicked out for using his mask.  Interesting how the dark saber gets heavier as you use it.  Seriously though. The Mando story outshined the Boba story.  Is Favreau doing this on purpose? Making the mandalorian better?

I did read that there was supposed to be a storyline after Clone wars where Cad Bane trained Boba to be the baddest bounty hunter of them all.  That would be a cool tie in to him showing up.

This is a cool story.

Why Luke Skywalker's CGI is so much better

Aside from technological advancements, one possible explanation is the fact Lucasfilm hired a deepfake YouTuber whose impressive video showing his own de-aging of Skywalker went viral.

Shamook announced last year that he'd been hired as a "senior facial capture artist."

Lucasfilm confirmed the new hire (via IndieWire).

"[Industrial Light and Magic is] always on the lookout for talented artists and have in fact hired the artist that goes by the online persona 'Shamook,'" a Lucasfilm representative said in a statement.

"Over the past several years, ILM has been investing in both machine learning and AI as a means to produce compelling visual effects work, and it's been terrific to see momentum building in this space as the technology advances," the representative said.

Shamook and Lucasfilm didn't immediately respond to a request for comment.

Even Temuera complained to Favreau that Boba talks too much and wanted Ming Na to get most of his lines

Watched the season finale. I swear the Mandalorian saved this series. Why does boba have to walk with his helmet in hand and not just wear it.  I won’t spoil it but the battle had its good and bad. Some cheesy shit but some brutal.  Still more action and better than any of the last three Star Wars.

I hate what happened to Cad Bane. If they were to do a season 2 this rivalry would be great.

That wasn't Bane from the Clone Wars.

The best thing about the battle was falling asleep.  ;)

I don't think so.  The directing crew from Rogue One could fix Boba but it was so lame there won't be a season 2. BECAUSE RODRIGUEZ IS A COOKIE-CUTTER DIRECTOR JUST LIKE THAT HACK THAT DOES THE TRANSFORMER MOVIES.

Johnson's SW was horrid, but he did direct maybe the greatest hour in TV history with the Ozymandias episode of Breaking Bad.
