Movies are made for profits...not for awards. Will Smith is part of the elite so once he and Chris Rock shakes hands publicily , it will be back ti business. He didnt go rape any women or someone...plus he has like 400 million or something...who cares, we still have to go to work tommorrow
No, Nextflix, Amazon Prime, etc.... all want an Oscar, the same way all actors want them. That's why Prime, Netflix, etc.... all put films in theaters, if even for short runs. Their best movies need to meet theatrical run time limits. Also if the foreign press starts to limit or look down on Smith for what happened at the Oscars, it could get worse. Cannes is tougher about these things than the Academy / Oscars.
Why look at Will Smith when Idris Elba, Michael B Jordan, Damon Idris, etc.... are all safer right now.
Will Smith will still work, but this is a major thing.
